Jackie Khuu—2008
Living in a single parent home with a mother working two jobs, Jackie almost literally had to support herself with as many as three jobs . She did this while maintaining a 3.8 GPA and participating in cheerleading and badminton. No one is more focused or persevering. Jackie attends Cal Berkeley.

Miesha Garnett—2007
Applying for numerous scholarships to finance college, Miesha is testimony to why we are trying to raise more money. At the awards ceremony she was totally shocked. She didn’t even remember applying! Miesha is working for a BS in Psychology with medical school aspirations.

Tajiana Ellis—2006
Participating in peer counseling, tennis, BSU, and ACLU, With a 3.9 GPA, and coming from the Willie B. Atkins Project, Tajiana is a junior at U of Washington and hopes to earn a PhD in psychology.
